The idea for this project is to keep as much floor/trunk space as possible.
To protect the sub, we placed it up high where it would be less likely to be damaged.
We mounted the amplifier on the top of the trunk to keep it from being damaged yet still accessible.
The basic concept of this enclosure is to take fiberglass and mold it to the side of the trunk. This maximizes the amount of air space for the 10" sub while having the keeping as much trunk space as possible. We only needed .88 sq feet of air, so this was easily achieved.
The fiberglass needed to be at least 1/4" thick to keep the enclosure from flexing during use.
More to come once this project has been completed. Feel free to email Roger if you have any questions: rogerbarcus@comcast.net
